no error logs? that would be a first, all servers have an error log. I have tried to duplicate this issue on 3 different lists but it always works fine for me, email results are shown in real time.

hmm very odd indeed, lets try to narrow it down. Try placing just XXX in your ad_break_top template and see if it shows up and YYY in your ad_break template. Templates should probably be edited at /skins/yourskin/child/

hmm can you verify SMTP settings are correct and SMTP is working? check your error logs for clues.

hmm there was a bug with AJAX mailer and SMTP but it was fixed in 1.2. To be sure, please download the bundle again from here: http://visiolist.com/community/threads/visiolist-1-2.1337/ and re-upload the /ajax.php file along with /sources/admin/email.php just be sure you have the latest version.

that is odd, make sure you are using version 1.2 as the mail system has been greatly improved with that release.
