Tag clous or subcategories

What is the status of a plugin where you can use tag clouds or subcategories (I know Mark was not a fan of the latter)? I fo one would love one!

at the moment all my focus is on getting version 1.0 done and out in the wild, the old tag cloud mod I have decided to not convert but rather we will use a "free tagging" system which will be part of the core. no ETA however this one is on the long term todo list.

You can easy customize with css.
