Stats Authorization Required

After running the generate screenshoots for all members when I go to check the stats page of a site I get the following message.

Authorization Required
This server could not verify that you are authorized to access the document requested. Either you supplied the wrong credentials (e.g., bad password), or your browser doesn't understand how to supply the credentials required.

I am not sure if it is running the screenshoots that caused this or if it is some other setting I may have changed as the stats page was working before this.

it looks like your server has some directory password protection affecting URL's with /stats/, but that error does not appear to be coming from VisioList.

do you have a /stats/ directory in your webserver? if so, that is probable the issue. renaming it should solve it.

see the different errors when these URL's are visited:

vs
http://www.africantopsites.com/stats/

if you dont have a /stats/ directory, let me know

There is a stats folder which was already on the server for the webalizer stats. I can only see it via ftp and not the cpanel.

2 choices, rename that stats folder or disable clean URL's.

looks like I will have to disable the clean URL's for now as the host will not rename the stats folder. I have tried to disable the clean URL's but it will not save the settings for this.

I had brought up the idea of changing the name of the stats page to something more accurate for VisioList, like profile or sites... perhaps this is a compelling reason to do so. I'll rekindle that topic and see what comes of it.

I fixed the admin settings not sticking for clean_urls and am posting an update in a few minutes

I have updated the files and the clean urls is showing now showing as disabled but the problem is still there. Looking at the urls it seems the clean urls may still be enabled in the background I could be wrong though.

found the bug, update posted. (you only need to overwrite index.php from the new alpha 2.3 bundle)
