Premium members not being upgraded

Members who are upgrading to premium are not being upgraded despite the fact I have "Auto approve premium memberships" checkmarked.

Payment is being received and even the days are being added to their "Remaining days" field, but the status shows as "Not Premium" and the "Start Date" field is empty. Any ideas?

Did you setup a token with paypal? is IPN enabled on your paypal account? did you paste the token into your admin panel?

I use Paypal on a few websites and in order to get a token I have to enable 'Payment Data Transfer', but in order for that to work I have to turn on "auto-return" and enter a URL.

If I did that, wouldn't everyone who made a payment to me across my multiple sites be auto-returned to that URL page? Will turning this stuff on affect my other sites?

I believe you are correct, for that reason you have only 2 choices until the new premium system rolls out later this year.

1) do not use automatic approval
2) enable the return URL, and ensure all your other website payments override that variable. (VisioList for example does not use the return URL set in your paypal account, that parameter is passed at checkout)
