No. of categories

Hi guys! Whats your thought on number of categories? Many of those I have seen have loooooads of categories but somewhere I recall that you said fewer were better. And if I choose to add some more categories per request - what ais the recommended minimum of members in that category for it to not look too empty and useless?

I had a list with 1300+ active members and all under 1 category, I have another list with 130 members where the members can create their own category if none is listed and that one has about 15 categories. I guess it depends on your niche. Empty categories are never good for visitors, so I would say it would be best to have at least 10 sites in each category.

Yeah i agree, a minimum of 10 sites per category.
On my site i only have 2 category's as that's all i need, i will never need more.

On your site you only need 2 or 3, you could have "Website" "Blog" "Forum" or something along those lines

If I recall correctly those sites are orphaned.
