mail templates

I found files join_email and lost_pw_email... and planned to add some stuff to that template but nothing happens when I edit them

I edited the text in language files but how can I add more stuff to the mail itself? example being, new link in the end, etc

edit the templates you mentioned above, make sure your editing the templates for your skin.

Also make sure you are updating files from child, and if you are planning to make HTML E-mails make sure you code them correctly or your messages might be blocked from the spam filters
