Duplicate URL and Title

i want to ask you how to prevent Duplicate listing? i got 2 exactly same URL , xxx.com and xxx.com with same Title Tag too.

Any clue for this?

hmm duplicate URL checking has been in place since 0.7 or so, perhaps this user joined twice with different URL's then edited? Can you join your list with duplicate URL's?

I've just ran into some duplicate URLS. I have one user who has submitted the same domain 3 times. Registration isn't stopping them. They're submitting individual blog posts as either a new user or as an additional on their current account. A user can submit an individual blog link post as their URL and it's accepted. For example http://www.myblog.com and http://www.myblog.com/individual_posts/todaysblogpost.html can both be registered.

Registering http://www.myblog.com when http://www.myblog.com is already accepted will prompt errors but http://www.myblog.com/individual_posts/todaysblogpost.html won't prompt registration errors.

That is a feature (not a bug) we have several clients who use visiolist to rank Twitter and Facebook profiles etc. You would need a custom plugin to check for and prevent duplicate URLs like these.

Ah ha! Makes perfect sense and I'm sure that's a feature I'd want. Thanks Mark. I'll just keep a closer eye on non-homepage submissions. Easy enough.

You might get duplicate content for lost password, join page and some other pages not sure 100%, I have a plugin for that so I hope Mark will implement into the newest updates

@cajkan this thread is about users submitting duplicate website URL's not duplicate content URL's (though I must admit I have never seen duplicate content on the URL's you are referencing, there is nothing planned for upcoming release)
