Hello, this feature was removed in the interest of speed (loading remote images can slow down your site) and security (loading remote images can be dangerous)
we have discussed the option to paste a URL and have PHP copy the banner to your local server, but it has never been given priority as not many people seemed interested in that at the time. Feel free to make a plugin or core feature request
