Long Term Todo Allow us to submit a screenshot ourselves.

The Internet Explorer automated screenshot tool doesn't work very well on Flash, HTML5, or CSS3 designs (the new IE does, but the one on VisioList doesn't seem to do so). How about as a work around allowing us to submit a screenshot if we don't like the one it generated?

I think this is a nice idea, even tho this would mean slightly more work for topsite owners

you can do it manually if you want to. Just go to /screens folder and place your screenshots there. You have 3 images that you need to generate. _small.jpg, _medium.jpg and main one .png

Agree with morus, beside that its the only other way you can generate the correct sized screenshots. Executeable programms require a windows server and what not ( ask mark -.- ).

We should maybe update IE on the server

What if mark or yourself could create a plugin that would take the screenshots for us when we go into the admin panel, click a button, it opens several tabs and takes the screenshots then uploads straight to our server, this would make things a lot easier and quicker for us? For a fee of course

that is pretty much what is already happening, we cannot force your PC to take screenshots however, this is why we pay for a dedicated windows server to handle that job.

What i meant is that instead of the dedicated server doing it we could do it from our PC's?

Unfortunately that is not a process we can automate from our end, you need to take those screenshots yourselves, edit them in a photo editor to remove excess windows etc. We could create an upload field in the admin for you to manually upload the screenshots you take and it would resize to the 2 smaller sizes, but thats about as close as we could get it.
