Yes, you cannot have instant ads. As Mark said 5-10 minutes and ads should work. And i would suggest you to read all rules, and policy because lots of people dont know how to use adsense propertly and they get banned.

I had Godaddy too, but they dont have any support, just copy / pasted messages. My website was working, few hours later error 500 and they said " Probably its your script problem" Ive moved to other host, now everything works nice and smooth.
