Upgrading From Aardvark Topsites PHP
Before upgrading make sure you have a FULL BACKUP of your files and database. If you don't have a backup and something goes wrong, we will have no way of helping you.
VisioList is a fork of the popular Aardvark Topsites PHP, as such upgrading from an existing Aardvark Topsites installation is relatively easy. That being said, any modifications you have made to your list will be lost and need to be re-applied (preferably in the form of a plugin to ensure future upgrades are easy).

To upgrade, simply overwrite all of the files with the exception of settings_sql.php
Next, point your browser to the install directory, the path might look something like: yourdomain.com/install/
VisioList will detect your existing installation and ask if you want to upgrade or do a fresh install.
Once you choose upgrade, VisioList will modify the Aardvark Topsites database. Once this is done you are ready to apply your mods and/or custom designs.
IMPORTANT: Your existing members have already installed your button code, VL has some different button setting options from aardvark, so you MUST go to your Admin panel -> Settings -> Button Settings -> Offer Static Button Image and set the options.
This will ensure your existing members will not be serving broken images until they login to browse your new link options.
