Unique In/Total In - Does not count

I can not understand how it works Unique In / Total In
By clicking on the link on the site and redirecting to my VisioList, the calculation still does not happen.
The link has the form - <a href="http://mysite.com/">MySite<img src="http://mysite.com/button.php?u=user" alt="MySite" style="display: none;" width="1px" height="1px" /></a>

What is the reason and how to set it up correctly?

TOTAL IN is how many people voted for the server overall
UNIQUE IN is how many unique people voted for the server
