I noticed while making catagory's that links look like this: http://yoursite.com/?cat=Aion-Online

I wondered if there was an easy way to make it more like : http://yoursite.com/Aion-Online/

Just wondering if there is an easy way to do it, checked here briefly and couldn't find anything.

option is found in admin -> settings -> other settings -> Enable clean URL's

Ticked it, re-saved all of the menu buttons. Now non of my links work. I definitely did something wrong.

is your .htaccess in place (same directory as your settings_sql.php)? does your host support mod_rewrite?

I followed this post : http://visiolist.com/community/threads/where-is-the-join-folder.1129/#post-7211 and added the ones you suggested, I also copied the list and it seems to work so far.

One issue is now I can't edit the child's of files in the admin menu. Here is my mod rewrite:

I don't understand, you should only need to use the .htaccess tat came with original zip download.

Editing child templates would have nothing to do with this.

Oh my misunderstanding, it should be made more clear.

I believed 'Disable Child' meant only the selected one, in fact it disabled them entirely. Live and learn.
