Question on index.php

Is there a difference about .com/index.php? I can open my top site with .com and .com/index.php. How do I take off the URL .com/index.php.

No there is no difference. Why you want to take it off? .com/index.php as it is placed nowhere. If you link your main site do it without index, just site.com

Into google WMT, they says:
.com and /index.php - duplicate content, title, description
But maybe this is fixed in 1.0 i didnt checked.

You can use an htaccess rule for this, or you an create a plugin to add the canonical tag to avoid /index.php from being indexed.

We will work on canonical url tag for VL 1.1 , then all those redirects come to an end

Has this issue been fixed on VL 1.2?

What didn't you say?

First it was not working for, with $ after index.php, but after a apache restart it was working.
So i deleted my old post.
