Path of the custom page

Hi
I have created a custom page through the the visiolist 'create custom page'. and the path showed was www.mysite.com/page/howitworks/ but when i click on the link it shows the 404 error, page not found. please help

Hello, that indicates your.htaccess is not in place or Apache mod_rewrite is not installed on your server.

First off, check if you have uploaded the .htaccess file ( where settings_sql.php is )

If not
- upload

If yes
- check with your host if they can enable apache mod_rewrite

If they not enable mod_rewrite, for whatever reason, you need to disable clean urls in admin settings

Not running linux apache? But nginx?

I uploaded the htaccess file, and removed the clean URLs, it is working now

Well, mysite.com/page/howitworks/ does that work now?
If so i would enable clean urls again, as its better for SEO.
