Can someone explain how the hits are counted in the link code, and i don't like the button thingy. can i change my link code to be as simple as http://mysite.com/"refferal code"?
my users can't understand this code neither do i?

You and your users are overthinking this. VisioList automatically detects the referring URL, there is no need for special referral code but you can change it easily if you desire.

http://visiolist.com/docs/button-settings - see the section called Google friendly links at the bottom.

For example this is a link code user get
<a href="http://sitebora.com/">Increase Traffic to your Site<img src="http://sitebora.com/button.php?u=prince" alt="Increase Traffic to your Site" style="display: none;" width="1px" height="1px" /></a>
Can i simplify this, i mean the button.php and stuffs, can i remove them? i guess i can, then where do i edit that? what will be the effect?

Thanks in Advance

the invisible button is required to count pageviews.

you can edit the linkcodes by using the template editor in the admin panel and editing the link_code_* templates

Yes as mark mentioned, simply remove the button part if you not require pageview counting. link_code_type_link.html

A simple link as that works as we check the site from where the voter came. If it matches a record, a hit in will be counted
