Is anyone using the Google +1 button on their sites and do you think about it?

yup I have added it to the VL front page and on many client sites who already have facebook like, tweet etc. I dont think any real world results will be visible with the +1 buttons for a little while yet. We'll see if people actually use them or not.
Personally I dont really care for the current "social" direction the web is going, but I am in the vast minority it seems
+1 seems to be a counter to the Bing/Facebook partnership, and I guess when Google+ http://plus.google.com finally rolls out (beyond invites) this could be a really big deal as Google might start factoring these into their ranking metrics. But I think we're a year or 2 away from that happening yet. Still, I might actually create a google plus profile to get a jump on it since I already have a Google account.
