Database password problem

Hi, I decided to change my database user password as a general security thing. I changed it at the database and in settings_sql.php but when I went to the site I got a white page, so I changed it back but still white page?

I have restored the site from a back up but I can't enter the data base via phpmyadmin using the username and password in settings_sql.php ? I do not understand as there is only one data base user.

Seems to be working now with another password change, I hate databases!

just to contribute to this thread, if you change database password or username all you need to update for VisioList is the value in settings_sql.php

one thing to watch out for is special characters in passwords like quotes which can cause parse errors.
