Very short therms: Whats the differences between the keywords and the description that you add for SEO purposes? In my list I kind of feel that description is only a more fleshed out version of keywords....?

meta keywords wont really influence your rankings with Google or other modern search engines. The description tag is what often shows up in your listing on the search engines, so writing a good description that encourages clicks from those results pages is helpful, its more useful in that regard than trying to stuff all of your favorite keywords into the description. (a well worded description including your main keywords is probably the best approach)
